Did you just do a weed deal or are you able to ahhh whistle with your mouth?”

Back again, probably a bit disappointing that it took an entire 3 weeks for an update. I know it pisses me off when people don’t update their sites frequently enough. In truth, if I heard something that blew my expectations I’d probably post a bit faster. Not to say today’s entry lacks any stupidity of course, just, I’ve come to expect the craziness.
Fantastic news: Some time in the near future I shall have some stuff by a “guest talker”. To set the scene for this: I live with my brother, not in a parents house situation - we just happen to share a house. On many occasions, very late at night, I have visited the ceramic throne to once again, relieve the proceeds of my soda water addiction. In that moment of excellent contemplation and with the silence that only can only occur late at night in a city, I am able to hear through the walls into my brother’s bedroom. Too many times, I have witnessed the (muffled) sound of unmistakable sleep talking occurring. Now, I ask myself this question, if I can witness sleep talk in the minute I spend near enough to hear, just *how much* is occurring? What is the content? Does it rival the strangeness of yours truly? Fascinating.
The excellent part about this whole affair is that he is very ardently denying that he sleep talks. Which sets the scene for a fantastic unveiling, here on the website. He has irrationally claimed that he must hear this talk first. Poppycock, let’s turn this into a mini-premiere!
The issue of sampling has come up. I don’t care if you sample this stuff. I don’t think it would fit my tastes for sampling stuff but I threw together something that probably summarises the vibe of my sleep talking (below). Since I don’t want to scare anybody, I had to remove just about all of the synth I had going because it started to sound awesomely menacing. I also felt like a bit of a tosser wasting time doing this when I should probably be working on legitimate music, rather than the ramblings of a madman so don’t blame me for the abrupt ending.
Finally, speaking of the ramblings of a madman. The owner of this cranium has an excellent blog that should be read and memorised. Truly a triumph of logic.

Alright, Karl Pilkington

Okay, this is going to sound dumb, maybe it’s just a bad case of snoring. But my boyfriend stays over from time to time. I work early in the mornings so I get up pretty early to shower. This morning I got up and did my normal ruitine. Got out of the shower and came back up to my room. I laid down for a min because I wasn’t ready to fully finish. As I laid there my boyfriend began to snort. Not snor.. but snort. That turned into growling then that turned into him laughing. Only his laughing sounded like a little girls laugh. (not like his at all) Then he began to snarl and growl some more. This went on for about 20 min until i woke him up. When i woke him up he was happy. he stretched out his arms and said good morning with a smile on his face. I asked him if he had had any weird dreams last night and he answered no. Is this something to be worried about? Should i start recording this? If so.. how would i go about doing that? I’m looking for an easy and or cheap way.
please let me know what you think.

Heather,
Should you be worried? I don’t think so. I think we’ve all done strange things our dreams. Does this mean we have any desire to do so waking? Absolutely not. How people act when they are dreaming is in my opinion basically irrelevant to what sort of person they truly are.
As I have learned during my recording, the way we sound is whilst asleep is also “different”. Listen to that summary I posted up. All manner of tones, vibes.. as if a completely unstable person or multiple individuals were contributing. Now, that could be me in denial - I could be as crazy as I sound but the truth isn’t anywhere near as awesome as the sounds are, I assure you.
Recording.. hmm.. if you’re awake, you can record it on anything but if you talking about a setup I’ve been trying to come to grips with a way to convey an easy setup for quite some time but the truth is, it takes some gear and time to get it right. Keep watching the site and hopefully I’ll come up with an easy to way to do it soon.
